2 church officials sought in Duluth First Baptist theft
Two former First Baptist Church of Duluth administrators are wanted for allegedly stealing money from church on separate occasions. Dr. Jerrell Pritchett, 75, a former minister of administration, and Lori Holcombe, 47, a former church accountant, are wanted on theft by deception charges for allegedly using the church benevolence fund as a personal piggy bank, according to arrest warrants issued Thursday in Gwinnett County. Pritchett allegedly used a money wiring service to send $525 from the benevolence fund to an unknown individual in Florida on April 24, 2005. Holcombe is accused of taking $1,056 cash from the church on four occasions to pay her mortgage. Holcombe stole the money between October 2004 and May 2005, the warrants said. Both crimes are felonies.
